Validity Period of Malaysian Passports
Before we book or buy the air tickets, it pays to check our passports expiry dates. According to the following websites, passports must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry or arrival to Thailand:-

Thailand Entry Requirements
Under the Visa Exemption Rule, Malaysian passport holders arriving by air are allowed to stay in Thailand for up to 30 days and up to 15 days via land border checkpoints from a neighboring country (i.e. Laos, Myanmar and Cambodia). However, if entry is made directly through the Malaysian-Thai border checkpoints, a 30-day period of stay per entry will be granted.
Other requirements for a hassle-free visit to Thailand:

- A confirmed travel itinerary, i.e. a return ticket out of Thailand;
- Address or proof of accommodation; and
- Cash of at least THB 10,000 per person and THB 20,000 per family.
